The content on this site is provided for general information about Line & Ledger LLC and its services. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to access it in an unauthorized way, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Nothing on this site creates a client relationship. Services, scope, fees, and terms are defined in a written engagement agreement signed by both parties. Membership pricing shown on the site may change and is subject to scoping.

Line & Ledger LLC may send text (SMS) messages to clients and prospective clients who provide a mobile phone number and expressly opt in to receive them. The following terms apply to all text messaging we conduct.

How we collect, use, and store phone numbers and SMS data

We collect mobile phone numbers only when you voluntarily provide one — for example, on our contact form, during a quick call, in an email or text you send us, or in an engagement agreement. When a form collects a phone number, a consent disclosure appears next to that field explaining what you are agreeing to receive; consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any product or service.

We use phone numbers and SMS data to reply to your inquiry, schedule and confirm appointments, send account, document-request, and service notifications related to your bookkeeping or advisory engagement, and — only where you have separately opted in — to send occasional informational updates. SMS data we store includes your phone number, your consent record (date, time, and the form or method used to opt in), message content, and delivery status. This data is stored in access-controlled business systems, retained only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then deleted or de-identified.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies and depends on your engagement with us and your inquiry; you can generally expect no more than a few messages per month, and conversational replies as needed while we work together. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-out and help

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send any further text messages unless you opt in again. Mobile information is never shared or sold for marketing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Line & Ledger LLC does not sell, rent, or trade mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consumer information collected through our text messaging program.

Consent disclosure and this policy

The consent disclosure shown on every form that collects a phone number links directly to this privacy policy at https://lineandledger.com/privacy-policy#sms, and to our terms of service. Submitting a phone number with the consent box checked constitutes your express written consent to receive text messages from Line & Ledger LLC at that number, including messages sent using an automated system.

These SMS terms mirror the SMS section of our privacy policy.

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Line & Ledger LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site.
